What is the reason why the brake drum in application is fragile?

1. Brake drum quality. The brake drum is made of pig iron, so it is wear-resistant. However, the brake pads of the car are brittle after all. If you go to the garage and meet with various brake drums with different damage levels, the brake pads of the rear wheels can fly up and cause injuries.

2. Overweight is the bane. When the truck is overloaded, the brake often causes adhesion or poor heat removal, which endangers the actual braking effect. Therefore, most of today's large trucks have been modified, either to modify the dripping equipment or to install the "brake king". Although these two kinds of equipment can improve the actual braking effect of the overweight truck, they also immediately accelerate the crack of the brake drum.

3. There are many questions about the application of drip equipment and brake king. The water drip equipment is to modify the water storage tank on the top of the cab, and lead the water to the brake drum in the wheels of each vehicle, and continuously drip water to reduce the temperature, which can reduce the brake failure to a certain level. However, some drivers do not grasp the time of dropping water to reduce the temperature. When the brake drum is already in high temperature and red, it still drips water, which is very easy to cause the brake drum to crack.

4. The brake is very hot, and it enters the pool. Many fast downhill sections will design a water pool for temperature reduction on the hillside to reduce the temperature of the brake drum. If the temperature of the brake drum is too high, directly entering the reservoir is very easy to cause cracks, which may be serious or even burst.

5. Do not pay attention to inspection at ordinary times. Some careless drivers are usually not easy to care about the condition of their brake drum. In the case of normal car maintenance, they should pay more attention to check the thickness of the brake drum and whether there are excessive and serious cracks.

In addition, the abnormal braking force will cause the wheel to wear heavily when rubbing with the road, which will cause the tire to wear off, out of round, leak stainless steel wire, and the service life will not reach the mileage of the design plan. The actual operation of continuous braking on the downhill road has higher risk factors. The brake pads will be seriously worn, and even lead to major accidents such as overtemperature of the brake system software and vehicle damage.
