Judging by thickness
In the long-term use, the thickness of the brake pad will become thinner and thinner with the continuous friction during braking. Generally, the service life of brake pads is about 40000-60000 km, and the poor vehicle environment and aggressive driving style will shorten the service life in advance. When the brake pads cannot be seen with the naked eye due to the design of the brake caliper, ask the maintenance master to remove the wheel and check the brake pads when maintaining the vehicle.
There is a raised mark on both sections of the brake pad, about 2-3mm thick, which is the thinnest replacement limit of the brake pad. If the thickness of the brake pad is found to be almost parallel to the mark, the brake pad needs to be replaced immediately.
Listen to sound judgment
When braking gently, if you hear a sharp and harsh "bared" sound, it indicates that the thickness has reached the limit, resulting in the identification on both sides directly rubbing the brake disc. It must be replaced immediately.
Observe groove judgment
Most brake discs are distributed with small grooves, which are called wear indicators. When the brake disc is worn and the small groove can not be seen, it indicates that the wear limit has been reached and the brake disc needs to be replaced immediately.
